Language learning forums are a great way to connect with other people learning Spanish, to share tips and tricks and to ask for advice. Learning a language is all about connecting with people, and not just natives of the language you’re learning but other people who are learning as well.
There are hundreds of Spanish language learning forums all over the internet but we want to help you find the best ones.
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn a language and for those of you who don’t live in a country with speakers of others languages, or if you’re just too shy to go out and look for language partners, forums can be a great middle ground.
Spanish forums welcome you into the language learning community and make you feel like a part of it without having the stress of real life conversations too soon. They’re also fantastic fountains of knowledge; any question that you have, someone should be able to give you an answer to in one of the Spanish learning forums.

Here are our top five Spanish language learning forums that you can use for free:
Duolingo
Duolingo is probably nowadays the most famous language learning app and for good reason. With access to multiple languages, fun, interactive courses, and extra features what’s not to love. But the thing we want to talk about today is Duolingo’s forum.
Duolingo has a large forum that you can use to discuss any of the languages that you’re learning on the platform. Which means of course there’s a Spanish language forum. Spanish is the third most studied language on Duolingo with 22.3 million active learners which means that you have access to opinions and advice from literally millions of people.
The only downside is that most of the discussion on the Duolingo Spanish forums tends to revolve around Duolingo itself and not always other aspects of learning Spanish. But that doesn’t matter, you can always start your own question or thread. And there are always people giving useful advice.
Italki
Italki is a favourite language learning resource of ours for many reasons. It’s a great place to find language partners, to get feedback on your work, to find teachers, but best of all it has an enormous language forum. The Spanish language forum on italki is full of native speakers and people learning Spanish sharing information and looking for advice.
A great feature about the italki language forum is that it’s not just a place to ask questions but also a place to look for help with your work. If you write something in Spanish, you can post it onto the italki forum and receive feedback from natives speakers on how to improve your written skills. This is a really cool feature that most Spanish forums don’t have yet and something that sets italki apart from it’s competitors.
Reddit is a tool that should not be underestimated. For those of you who don’t know what Reddit is, it’s basically a giant internet forum with a community for literally everyone. Reddit has a thriving Spanish speaking community that share information. The best thing about the Spanish subreddit is that there is a variety of levels and not just a concentration of beginners. So if you’re a B2 Spanish student you will be able to find advice from other students who are at a similar level.
Reddit functions on a voting system. If something is useful to the community people can vote it up, if it’s not useful to the community people can vote it down. This makes Reddit a place full of useful content and helps to avoid spam that other websites might have. the moderators on reddit are also dedicated and work hard to keep the forums useful to the users.
Notes from Spain
Notes from Spain is a very old and developed forum with many loyal contributors. The only issue with notesfromspanish is that a lot of the threads are relatively old and sometimes rank higher than newer threads, which can be difficult to find information that is relevant to you right now.
The great thing about notesfromspanish is the depth of the forums that are available. There’s definitely something for everyone no matter what you’re looking to learn.
Linguaholic
Our favourite feature of the Linguaholic forum is the Spanish only lounge. This is a subforum of the site where you’re only allowed to speak Spanish which can be incredibly useful when wanting to improve your fluency, because you don’t have a choice. You can’t just switch to English if you don’t know the word to something, you have to try and explain it in Spanish.
Final thoughts
We hope you’ve found these Spanish forums useful. They’re not only a place where you can access information but also a place where you can meet like minded people who share a common hobby to you. Before the internet it was more difficult to find other people who shared the same passion for language learning, but now we have hundreds if not thousands of options to choose from. The only thing we need to do is to find which are the best and most active Spanish forums and to avoid the ones that aren’t regulated or that are overran by spam. That’s why we wanted to create this list for you; to make your Spanish learning as efficient as possible.
Also make sure that you actually join in. Sure you can get a lot of information just by reading but you won’t get a real feel for the community or be a part of it if you don’t actively participate yourself. And the best thing is, everyone else is learning too which makes people a lot more forgiving of mistakes.
A great thing about these forums is that they also double up as Spanish learning apps.
