Author: Ana Martín
With three languages and a love of books and stories, writing graded readers for language learners was always on the cards for Lingo Press Books first author Ana Martín. Born in the UK, Ana speaks French, Spanish and English. She has spent most of her adult life dedicated to language learning in some form and wants to create resources that can help everyone learn a language. She began writing short stories and when they were popular she decided to expand her collection to a full graded reader series ranging from A1 level books all the way up to C2.
The collection has since been translated into English as well. Anyone who is at a beginner level can find Ana’s collection of Spanish A1 and A2 graded readers. For those of you who are intermediate learners then don’t worry, Ana is currently in the process of developing her B1 and B2 series. And for those of you who are advanced learners then you’re just going to have to wait a little while longer.
Ana uses the European CEFR framework to grade her books rather than just beginner, intermediate and advanced because she believes that a B1 learner can be at a very different level from a B2 learner and that language resources need to reflect that.
